I worked for them for 26 years. In my dept there were 5 of us over the age of 50. Four of us got the boot and nobody under 50 got the boot.
Went for a job there and was told I didn't have enough experience. Had a job similar to it for 16 years! I could see the look in Department Manager's eyes. I have come to recognize that look during interviews.

I wonder if these employers understand that it is not just the revenue from young adults that keep them in business.
