Amazon does not have advancement opportunities for the older employee. They promote very young, imecperienced associates over the older employee for management positions. Amazon he older employees are very often overlooked and ignored even when they have proven to be a good candidate for management positions. Amazon in Edgerton, Ks is Not a good place for the older worker!!! Hub bh
As a seasonal part time employee, I have found the company to be employee focused and age friendly.
I have had multiple interactions with Amazon including a phone interview. On the phone interview with the actual hiring manager he was rude, disrespectful and quite unpleasant it was bad enough that I wrote an email to their recuriter telling them what happened and never to contact me again. I am also a doubly protected veteran and expect to be treated respectfully. If I had recorded the call I would have sued them.
Amazon does not take into account the experience of a persons life workimg and hires children for management that they are not ready or prepared for.

Experiencing health issues and other personal issues. Working 70 hours a week, they do not care. HR will not listen. At will employer. Stay away!
I am 61 and they hired me. I am still there.

I wonder if these employers understand that it is not just the revenue from young adults that keep them in business.
