Blackjack Pizza was founded in 1983 by Vince Schmuhl. After working several years for another pizzeria, the founder felt that there was plenty of room for competitors in the fast growing pizza delivery business. At that time, there was only one major player in the pizza delivery business in the Rocky Mountain region and he felt that customers would really appreciate a better alternative to satisfy their pizza cravings.
I was employed by one of their franchisees and was treated equivalent as he and his managers treated all the other employees. I have been invited to come back and work for them again, even on a part-time basis. However, one of the managers did tell me later that they almost didn't hire me becouse of how old I was. They decided to give me a chance because I had already invested in purchasing a GPS (for the delivery driver position).

I wonder if these employers understand that it is not just the revenue from young adults that keep them in business.
