In every reduction in force I witness the employees over 55 were the first to go.
Lack of compassion on part of upper management, frequent turnover and frequent changes that are not given time to come to fruition. CFO ill prepared with bachelors degree and carries too much weight within the organization and who is openly disrespectful to staff. The organization is suffering financially due to mismanagement and trusting the wrong people. Also closed the maternity child department recently which was a founding tenant of the organization.

After reading the comments by those who express their perspective of age related discriminating practices by more than a few employers, I felt very concerned for older workers that need/desire employment. I wonder if these employers understand that it is not just the revenue from young adults that keep them in business. I wonder how they would survive if the older generation would stop supporting their businesses. I also wonder if these employers understand the principle of sowing and reaping?
